About the Author

Ines Angeli Murzaku is a Professor of Church History at the Department of Religion, Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, USA; a Visiting Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy; and an Adjunct Professor of Historical Theology at Seton Hall University Graduate School of Theology, USA. Prof. Murzaku has published Catholicism, Culture and Conversion: The History of the Jesuits in Albania (1841-1946), and Quo Vadis Eastern Europe? Religion, State and Society after Communism, and authored several scholarly articles published in specialized national and international journals. Professor Murzaku’s most recent research has been generously supported by Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers, Germany; Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; and Fulbright Senior Research Award in Italy which supported Prof. Murzaku’s research in southern Italy, Calabria. Prof. Murzaku is currently the vice-president of the Association for the Study of Nationalities and a board member of Christians Associated for Relationships with Eastern Europe.
